SIGNS OF PARVOVIRUS DISEASE
- Foul-smelling diarrhoea with blood in it.
- Vomiting.
- Fever.
- Loss of appetite.
- Difficulty swallowing.
- Collapse.
- Depression.
- Sudden death.
Infection is acquired through direct oral or nasal contact with virus-containing feces or indirectly through contact with virus-contaminated fomites (e.g. environment, personnel, equipment).
Death is due to severe dehydration.
