SIGNS OF PPR DISEASE

• Fever of 40–41 °C
• Lacrimation.
• Serous nasal discharge.
• Depression.
• Reluctance to feed.
• Diarrhoea starts after 2 to 3 days.
• Diarrhoea results in severe dehydration.
• Gums and other mucous membranes become hyperemic.

PPR is transmitted by close contact, and confinement favors outbreaks. Secretions and excretions of sick animals are the sources of infection. Transmission can occur during the incubation period. Emaciation, conjunctivitis, and stomatitis are common clinical signs of PPR.
